Women Safety using IoT
We use internet in our life on daily basis whether it is for surfing, searching or for social media etc. but combining internet with things of daily use makes it more interesting. So, basically The Internet of Things(“IoT”) is about extending the power of the internet beyond computers and smartphones to a whole range of other things, processes, and environments.
Now-a-days women are facing many problems based on their security. The application which is proposed has access to track location and will send messages to the nearby police stations and the scanned phone numbers.
So, me and my team made a device using IoT for women safety. Our device was a portable one i.e one can carry it anywhere with them. By using Arduino, we coded for the device, which on pressing the “ON” button got triggered. By making Arduino as communicating channel between the women and the App on which message would be delivered we implemented Internet of Things.
By using one of the IoT services, Igadget, we configured the data on the receiving end i.e how the person can respond to the message received from the woman and provide reassurance to her, that she will be safe, we have got her message and we will soon reach out to her with help.
